Secrets of the “One Inch Punch"

Joe Martin and Master Volker Jung of Germany

Grandmaster Martin first met Volker Jung in China. Within a few days, Master Jung was confiding in Martin about martial art secrets he had learned over the past 4 decades. As it turned out, Jung has studied many of the same Taoist techniques from Master Mantak Chia.

Grandmaster Joe Martin was invited to Germany to study with Volker Jung and to teach some clinics there at his school. This was the beginning of a long relationship with teaching in Germany. Grandmaster Martin now teaches in Germany 3 to 4 times per year.

Many of the martial art secrets past along by Chinese masters are so difficult to grasp the true meanings; Volker Jung is one of the few masters who can relay the secrets in a way that is easy to understand. Grandmaster Martin is indebted to Volker Jung for helping him to better teach the martial art secrets to Western students.

The Science Behind Grounding

"Total Body Unity is Crucial"

At the age of 10, Volker Jung began a three year training in Judo. He has studied many martial arts, qigong and esoteric methods since that day.

  • External Martial Arts: Judo, Karate, western boxing, Tae-Kwon-Do (full contact).

  • Semi-internal system: EWTO Wing Tsun

  • The 3 classical “internal martial arts” Hsing-I, Tai Chi Chuan and Ba Gua Zhang.

  • In-depth study of “Liu He Ba Fa” – a martial art comprising the three internal systems, but little known outside of China.

  • In addition, since 1987, he has made an in-depth study of Qi Gong, Taoist meditation and the internal alchemy of the Taoists, most in the Universal Healing Tao system of Mantak Chia's.

  • To complement these main areas, he also studied TCM together with several Chinese and Japanese meridian-based massage techniques such as Chi Lei Jong and INOCHI.
