The Massage and Bodywork Therapist Continuing Education Learning Center
Oriental Visceral Massage Level IAbdominal MassageOriental Visceral Massage Level 1 (8 CE Hours) One of the most avoided areas of the body for many massage therapists happens to be one of the most important – the abdomen. As the primary connection of the anterior torso and the pelvis, it also is the palpation area for virtually all of the body’s organs. Japanese acupuncturists use the abdomen as their primary diagnostic tool in their treatment of patients. Learn why this area is so important to your massage clients. Special techniques for restoring health to the GI tract will be taught along with lymphatic detoxification and lubrication of the skeletal system through the abdomen. This class will include a one-hour abdominal massage routine that is beneficial to virtually all clients Clients love abdominal massage when it's more than just rubbing oil on their bellies. Dramatically change the way your clients feel when they stand up. Introduce them to new feelings of openness, awareness and calmness at their very core. Adding this work to your repertoire will not only bring additional revenue, but will also provide more lasting results to the routine you are currently doing. I have never had a client ask me NOT to work on their abdomen. This is a great class to take in conjunction with the Releasing the Pelvis. Prerequisite: None
