Introduction
to Qigong and Five Element Theory (4 CE Hours)
Everything in our environment, external or internal, belongs to one of
the Five Elements. Each element has supporting and controlling influences with
the other elements. When they are balanced, we experience health and prosperity.
When they're out of balance and failing to support one another - we experience
disease in one form or another. This workshop explores the relationship between
emotions and organ function, including other energy controlling factors that
help us to live a more balanced, enjoyable life.

Inner Smile (3 CE
Hours)
"In ancient China, the Taoists taught that a constant inner smile,
a smile to oneself, insured health, happiness and longevity. Why? Smiling to
yourself is like basking in love: you become your own best friend. Living with
an inner smile is to live in harmony with yourself." -Mantak Chia
A genuine smile transmits loving energy that has the power to warm and heal. By
learning to smile inwardly to your organs and glands, you can make your whole
body feel loved and appreciated. This is a very powerful way to counteract
stress and tension -- combining the smile with the Five-Element network.

Six Healing
Sounds (3 CE Hours) Recycling and Transforming Negative Energy
When confronting negative emotional energy, our immediate reaction is
often to destroy it or dump it away. In this class, you will learn techniques to
transform this negative, sick energy into positive, loving, healing energy.
Negative emotions are stored in the body's organs. Over time, the accumulation
of the negativity erodes the organ's health and effects the person's
disposition. The Six Healing Sounds work to transform the negative energy stored
in the organs and to transform them into healing vibrations. Sounds along with
specific body movements are used in the workshop.

Five Element Theory

Microcosmic
Orbit (5 CE Hours)
Through unique relaxation and concentration techniques, one circulates,
directs and preserves Qi through two major energy pathways in the body. These
are major acupuncture meridians which were the first two meridians created in
utero. Their free flow is therefore vital for our health. An open Microcosmic
Orbit enables you to circulate Qi (life force) through your body and expand
outward to connect with the forces of Nature, the six directions and the Earth
power. During this practice one also learns to activate the three internal fires
and open the three Tan Tiens.
